The Handles are Raised Off the Door
As demonstrated in the photo above, the handles are not flat magnetic hardware like found on cheaper hardware sold online. They are actually raised off the garage door like a traditional metal spear handle to give you the same look without all the headaches of screw on metal hardware.
Rustic Hardware with Clavos and Hammered Finish

Rustic Hammered Ring Pull and Hinge
Ring-pull magnetic hardware is also offered for a more dramatic look. They may be harder to find, but it may be worth the hunt if the design goes well with the style of your home.

Can I Permanently Attach the Hardware?
Yes. If you find your kids are messing with the hardware, you can purchase black screws from your local home store and permanently attach the hardware to your garage door.
